    Owner & president

    Olivier de Rocca-Serra has created MINGALABA BRANDS in 2014. After 30 years of experience with blue chip companies (Kraft, Colgate and Fromageries- BEL) in key positions as head of Marketing or Country manager, he decided to set-up his own business and look for new frontiers.

    Why Myanmar ?

    Because it is a nice as well as an important country (55 millions people) where you can still contribute a lot to the country’s development. Myanmar is an “ ASEAN “ country strategically situated in a fast growing area. It has a huge potential of growth in general and for tourism in particular (3,5 millions visitors estimated in 2017).

    Why fine-foods ?

    Myanmar has of course its culinary tradition and own fine-food . However, people are getting more and more connected and interested in different refined tastes experiences from the world .

    Adding more choice 

    to the market with fine-food from France and Europe ,……for the enjoyment of all Food-Lovers , Gourmet’s and  “Chefs ” is Mingalaba Brands’ Mission !

    Lune de Miel : European leading honey brand consistently on shelves for up-market supermarkets since 2015; Maple Joe maple Syrup is a sweet addition for pancake lovers introduced in early 2017.

    Dairies : an increasing portfolio of fine dairy products. Isigny, well known butter with the 1 kg AOP flat butter introduced in early 2018 in food service channel answering the needs of Chefs pâtissier and contribute to first class pâtisserie in Yangon! Famous Jacquin goat cheese range introduced into 5 stars hotels and restaurants: a treat for all cheese lovers. Perfect wine-pairing with Pouilly fumé or Sancerre white wine. Fromagerie Bouchet soft and semi-hard AOP cow cheeses brought into Yangon officially mid 2017 to enrich the “cheese platter offer” for premium hotels & restaurants in Myanmar.     Fresh sea food : fresh oysters is a gastronomical treat; St Kerber is a recognized brand for a variety of fresh oysters : “Fine de Claire”, “Bellon flat Oysters“, “Muirgen” Irish Oysters and of course the “ Tsarskaya “ (the oyster selected by the Tsars of Russia )… Weekly airfreight is servicing the best hotels and restaurants in Yangon through premium distribution. A delicate white wine or a champagne (Bollinger) will enhance the enjoyment. Fresh mussels have been introduced into the market successfully in 2017 with Vivier d’armor. A range of North Atlantic fishes (Dover Sole, red Mullet, Monkfish, Turbot…) selected by DISTRIMALO are airfreighted weekly and distributed through premium distribution to first class hotels and restaurants.

  • Foie Gras & Truffles

    Clos Saint Sosy and La Quercynoise are synonymous with Great Quality Duck Products : fresh & frozen! Foie gras is of course one of them and a gastronomical reference on Chef’s menus. Clos Saint Sosy foie gras is an artisanal foie gras elaborated with all hygiene guaranties and needed certificates. Introduced by premium distribution in Myanmar in 2017 its quality has been recognized by many Chefs. Maurel & Chambon Truffles is a reference for the winter truffle in France (Tuber Melanosperum).Few Chefs in Yangon have ordered satisfactorily the so called “Black Diamond” in 2017 through premium distribution.     Bollinger is a worldwide known luxury and gastronomical champagne. Chefs know the brand not because it is the champagne of “James Bond 007” but because it is a gastronomical champagne very well balanced and elegant. Cellardoor distribution has taken this luxury flagship champagne as the sole distributor in Myanmar in order to service 5 stars hotels and restaurants.
